Hello!  I’m Tina, owner of Felterlings, artist/miniaturist and smoosher of wool (felter).

Each Felterling is custom-made to your specifications. Each character takes 30-80 hours to complete, often more.

Depending on how many orders I have, it may take 12 weeks before I can ship yours.

Characters

My most popular characters are Rats and Mice.

I also make seated lop-eared bunnies and other characters.

I can make other animals, but these are my favourite makes.

Sizes

Character sizes range from 2.5” (6.35 cm, “Mouselette”) to 10” (12.7 cm, the “Grand”) the most popular being the 5” which is ideal for 1/12 scale doll houses. Clothing option list sizing guides, and the Grand (10” 12.7 cm) for instance has entire outfit options.

Faces

You have choices to make with commissioned work, and though I can’t replicate the faces you see here exactly (darn close), there are shapes/styles to choose from:

• Female faces are softer and rounder
• Males are pointier and longer (snout)
• Babies have condensed features

Colours

I make my characters with natural (off-white) sheep’s wool. You can also choose to add a subtle colour appliqué to the natural (off-white) colour:

• grey
• tawny
• brindled (grey, tawny and a bit of black)

Clothing & Accessories

Mice and rats are grand on their own, and they can be outfitted with capes, dresses and other apparel, hold handmade food items, teddies, purses and leather books, and be accompanied by 1:12 scale hand-crafted dollhouse furniture.

All clothing is handmade from local and ethically sourced quality sheep’s wool with varying shades to give them depth and interest, rather than the one note of factory felts.

You can choose from tree (greens), fire (pinks/reds/oranges), sky (blues) or earth shades (tawny/yellow/red browns.)

All fasteners (except for leather) are handmade using polymer clay in colours that compliment the wool.

Due to the nature of “felted clothing” (not sewn), some are permanent (felted onto the character) and others removavable. Be sure to check the sizing guide, i.e. Suitable for 5” characters.

I can guarantee your character will have personality and love, be of the highest quality with attention to every detail. My goal is your happiness. That’s why you’re involved at key points in the process; I am open to face chats, phone calls, text, email, its your call. If you don’t like your Felterling (which has never happened), I can always sell the character in my inventory.
